What’s the Event?
The Sandridge 10k and family fun run is going ahead with a few covid-19 related changes. All runners will complete their 10k or 1mile distance on 12th September on routes they have individually planned. Read ‘Race info and Route’ for details of planned changes.
The Sandridge 10k and Family Fun Run take place in the beautiful Heartwood Forest which lies in close proximity to the historic Roman city of St Albans. The 10k route showcases the best of the forest, with the trail passing though emerging forests, past ancient woodland and across wildflower meadows.
Please be advised, this is a trail run, the route is off road and covers all terrains. Whilst considerable effort has been made to plan a route across well-established footpaths and bridleways, some ground may be uneven. In wet weather or when there has been recent heavy rain, paths may be muddy. Please wear suitable running shoes and take care.
The race organisers are committed to both protecting and preserving the forest and are therefore acutely aware of the environmental impact an event can have on its surroundings. Considerable effort has been made to establish the Sandridge 10k as a sustainable running event. Please see ‘Race info and Route’ for further details.
